Bringing a Tai Tokerau voice to the region's primary health entity

Mahitahi Hauora is Northland's primary health entity, collaborating with whānau, iwi, community, health and social service providers, to make Northland the healthiest place to live.

Over the last few years, Level has enjoyed working with Mahitahi Hauora on a wide range of projects, from a global recruitment campaign for GPs to developing a brand style and guidelines for the new entity, brand templates, education resources, annual reports, documentation, and most recently their new website (due to go live shortly). The Mahitahi Hauora team are passionate about supporting medical practices across Northland and ensuring their resources are as accessible as possible to the community.

Through the development of Mahitahi Hauora's brand style, we focused on creating a voice - and style - that spoke to Northland

The creation of Tai Tokerau’s new primary health entity in 2019 signalled a new way of working with – and for – the community and Mahitahi Hauora wanted their new look organisation to reflect their community. Level was asked to develop a brand to support and wrap around the Mahitahi Hauora logo, developed by tohu design expert Allen Wihongi, that would not only speak to the communities of Tai Tokerau but also strongly reflect those communities in its language and imagery.

We continue to work with Mahitahi Hauora on a range of projects as they navigate significant restructuring across the health system.
